Here at Gould Swim Academy in Albury, we have an incredible team dedicated to providing the best swim education for your children. Wayne Gould

About Wayne: Head Coach and Director at Gould Swim Academy

Wayne was born and raised in Albury and has been a swimmer and water polo player for most of his life. He continues to swim most days and plays water polo with the local club, Sharks. Wayne and his family enjoyed living near the beach for a few years in Shellharbour but returned to Albury so he could transition from concreting to building and operating our Swim Academy.

Wayne is dedicated to maintaining the water quality and equipment, as well as opening the pool in the early hours. As the head coach at Albury Swim Club, he takes pride in seeing many Academy swimmers progress to the Swim Club.

Wayne’s five children—Shannon, Kristy, Carly, Jaime, and Ashleigh—also play water polo and have been keen swimmers, sharing the Gould family’s love of water. As a part-owner and director of the Academy, Wayne is committed to fostering a love for swimming in the Albury community.

Kristy Hogan

Kristy grew up in the area and went to school here in Albury. She has raised her two children here, Deacon and Ryleigh, who both work with us at Gould Swim Academy. Her husband Tom is a great support to Kristy, while he is also busy running his business at North East Bin Hire.

Kristy is well known for her involvement in the sport of water polo. As a youngster she played competitively to a very high level. She has represented Australian Country Water polo several times, travelling to around Australia, New Zealand and Hawaii to compete.

As a teen, Kristy taught swimming at Albury Swim Centre and has made it her career since 2005. Our swim program is literally Kristy’s baby, having written it all herself. She continues to rewrite and improve her program which is why we continue to get the success that we are at Gould Swim Academy and why we are such a sought-after swim school in the region.

What Kristy started with dream in 2008 has grown to be Gould Swim Academy. As well as being a wonderful teacher in the water, Kristy is also owner and director of Gould Swim Academy

Kristy works tirelessly in and out of the water, often 7 days a week, to make sure things run smoothly. She gives her absolute all to her students and staff, making her one incredible human being.
